If you are interested in scheduling an appointment or getting additional information, I ask that you email me. Due to being a in solo practice, I find that I can respond faster by using email. When emailing include why you are requesting therapy, your insurance provider, and that you have already read over this entire website. If you are not able to email me, you can leave a voice mail. Please note that I cannot make recommendations or provide therapy via email or by phone, you will need to schedule an appointment to discuss your concerns.
Most new clients want to know my specialties and with whom I work with. I work with clients from age 5 and up. If you are looking for therapy for your child, depending on their age I will discuss the options with you. Please know that working with children is different than working with adults and requires the parents/caretaker’s active participation. Main areas that I focus on are: Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, ADHD, Grief, School Issues and Divorce. Areas that I do not work with: Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse, Marriage Therapy, Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. In addition, I am not able to do psychological evaluations, custody evaluations or court ordered evaluations.
After you have contacted me to set up your initial appointment and I have given you an appointment time, you will need to go to the Office Forms section of this website and print off and complete all necessary paperwork. Please remember to bring in these forms along with your insurance card for our initial session.
In addition, you will also need to contact your insurance company to obtain any prior authorizations and benefit information. Also, please view my Insurance and Billing section for additional information. By completing this prior to your appointment it decreases chances for any payment problems and allows for us to spend less time on paperwork during your appointment.
Some additional areas to consider/cover if you would like to schedule an appointment:
- My Office Hours are Monday through Thursday, with first appointment at 7:30am and last starting at 4pm. I cannot guarantee an appointment time and always give first priority to my clients who have been working with me the longest.
- I do offer telehealth. I require that the first appointment be in person to determine if this would work for your situation. Please note, that I do not often do telehealth with children under the age of 14.
- Due to appointments being during the school and work day a doctor’s note is given if needed.
- What is deemed your responsibility for payment is due at the time of your session.
- My office is located in a suite with other professionals, and I do not have a receptionist. In addition, the suite is locked permanently. Therefore, I will come out to get you at the time of your appointment. There is a waiting room for parents when I am meeting with children.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out and ask.
